Guest Designer Day on Inking It Up Crazy!

Hello! I am very excited to be Kassidy's guest designer today. I love Kassidy's projects, so I was very excited to be able to guest design on Inking It Up Crazy

Today, I made a simple A2 sized card with a pink and white mat. I love pink and brown together and haven't used those colors in a while. On the side, I cut ribbon strips at two inches and bent them in half, keeping the edge round. I used a glue dot to keep the ends adhered together, then I adhered the ribbon to the card. This is a great way to use up some of those little pieces of ribbon you have laying around your craft space!

The sentiment is a digi stamp I found online and I cut scalloped circles (using an SVG File) at 1.5 inch and 1.75 inches. The sentiment reads "Just for You."

Thank you Kassidy for having me as a guest designer today!

Owl card

I made a card today using blue, pink, yellow, and a piece of pink ribbon. I don't usually use these colors, so it was a fun challenge for me.

RECIPE:
Scalloped border: SVG file
Ribbbon: Michaels ribbon stash
Owl: Cut at 2. 5 inches from "Create A Critter" cartridge
Embossing; Done with the Cuttlebug embossing folder

Tip Tuesday at the Creative Cutter Room

Hello! I am so happy to be part of the Creative Cutter Room's Tip Tuesday. Today, I have a quick and helpful tip to help you organize your stamps.

I love stamps! I love to shop for stamps, I love to use stamps on whatever I can, when I can! These are all my small stamp sets. I buy the "Studio G" stamps and the "Studio 112" stamps at Michaels. I love that they only cost between fifty cents and a dollar.

I had these stamps all stacked in a drawer. When I am working on a project, I have to go through all my stamps to find either a sentiment or a picture stamp. It takes up time and wasn't very organized. I needed a better system.

I had some empty CD cases from a while back. I took out the black centers that hold the CD in place, so that they were empty.

I took out all the stamps and tried to lay them in piles of sentiments, Spring, Halloween, Christmas, etc. It took me a few minutes to decide how I wanted the stamps organized, but I finally found a system I thought would work for me.

Then, I started putting the stamps in the cases. Some stamps will stick to the top of the case, while others stick to the back (it depends on whether it is a cling stamp or a clear stamp). When you close the CD case, the stamps will fit perfectly. Then, I ran into a small glich. Some of the stamps you can't quite see what they say or make out the picture, unless you look very closely. I wanted to be able to grab it quickly and be able to use it. So, I decided to cut up the clear cling page the stamps come on and adhere that to the CD case. Perfect!

I have one case just for sentiments, one case for Christmas, once case for Halloween, a case for Fall/ Thanksgiving and one case for Spring/Summer.

Hope you enjoyed my tip!
