An Elf on the Shelf Card

I saw this sketch at Just add Ink and instantly had the idea of the elf sitting on the shelf. We are awaiting the arrival of our Elf on the Shelf. We are hoping Santa sends him from the North Pole soon. So, with visions of elves and Christmas, I had to make this card.

Here is the Sketch from Just add Ink:

Here's my card:
This cute little elf is sitting on the shelf atop a present wrapped in red and adorned with green ribbon.

Materials used:
The Elf on The Shelf: is an SVG file purchased from MyScrapChick last Christmas.
Paper: I used all scraps from my paper stash. The printed paper is from The Christmas Combo Stack made by DCWV
Pop Dots were used to pop the elf off the card
Embossing: Used my Cuttlebug to emboss the shelf

I’m Back! It’s been a while.

I'm back! I had a fun and busy summer, as well as busy Fall. Over the last few weeks, I have been thinking it was time to come back to crafting. I just had to find the time. Well, with a wonderful long weekend, I put aside time to sit and craft. It was great!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I so enjoyed spending time with my family, eating great food, watching the parade, and just enjoying being at home.

I made this card for Freshly Made Sketches. I followed their sketch and created a cute winter card.

Guest Designer Day on Inking It Up Crazy!

Hello! I am very excited to be Kassidy's guest designer today. I love Kassidy's projects, so I was very excited to be able to guest design on Inking It Up Crazy

Today, I made a simple A2 sized card with a pink and white mat. I love pink and brown together and haven't used those colors in a while. On the side, I cut ribbon strips at two inches and bent them in half, keeping the edge round. I used a glue dot to keep the ends adhered together, then I adhered the ribbon to the card. This is a great way to use up some of those little pieces of ribbon you have laying around your craft space!

The sentiment is a digi stamp I found online and I cut scalloped circles (using an SVG File) at 1.5 inch and 1.75 inches. The sentiment reads "Just for You."

Thank you Kassidy for having me as a guest designer today!

Owl card

I made a card today using blue, pink, yellow, and a piece of pink ribbon. I don't usually use these colors, so it was a fun challenge for me.

RECIPE:
Scalloped border: SVG file
Ribbbon: Michaels ribbon stash
Owl: Cut at 2. 5 inches from "Create A Critter" cartridge
Embossing; Done with the Cuttlebug embossing folder

Think Spring! The air is warm, the flowers are starting to grow….

Spring is here and the warm weather is on it's way. Of course, it was in the 80's here last week, now suddenly it's in the 40's and 50's and gray and rainy. With the gray weather here, I decided it was time to sit down and make a bright flowery card.
I have been wanting to make this cute little flower pot card for a long time. I have seen so many fellow bloggers make these adorable cards and decided it was time to cross it off my "To Do" list. I had fun putting this card together. I think it's just adorable.

Here is the card with the insert inside of it:

Here is the insert with it's pot. I heat embossed the "Think Spring" sentiment with pink embossing powder. The flowers are stickers from Joanne's Fabric. They were in the dollar bin and I knew they would work perfectly for this card. I used pop dots underneath them to give them some depth.

RECIPE:

This is an SVG file from: MyScrapChick.com

Flowers: stickers from the dollar bin at Joanne's

Paper: All the paper used was from my scrap bin

Ribbon: Sugar N' Spice (Michaels)

Stamp: Studio 112 (Michaels).

Heat embossed with Recollections pink embossing powder

Doodling: white gel Sakura pen

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Really Resonable Ribbon: Spring With Ribbon theme
Whimsical Wednesday: Celebrate Spring
Lily Pad: Flower Challenge

Just some time in the craft room…3 cards done!

This afternoon, I decided to give myself some much needed craft time in my craft corner. I just wanted to sit down, make a card, clean up, and then cook dinner and get some house work done. I was perusing Pinterest and came across a simple, yet elegant card that I decided I would scraplift, make 10 of them, and donate them to Operation Write Home

This card was scraplifted from Pinterest. I wish I knew what site this card was pinned from, so I could thank them for the beautiful card idea. Here's the first card I made:

I loved playing with the black and white paper and I was on a crafty roll, so I made this card. This card was inspired from a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I love the clean look of the lines and the simplicity of the card. I heat embossed the flourish. I am new at this and I am having so much fun playing with my stamps and embossing powders.

Then, I had some scraps left, so I made this card too:

Hope you all have a great weekend!
