Snow, Snow, and More Snow!

Hello! I haven't been able to do any crafting over the last few days. Between the two snow storms we recently had and my whole family being sick with an awful head cold, I have had little time to sit and be crafty. But, we are all feeling better now and the snow is all cleaned up, so I thought I would share some pictures with you.

Here is a picture of my back yard. Just picture perfect!

How much snow did we get this last storm? Well, this is my walkway, which is covered under 14 inches of snow! We had to shovel the snow away from the door way, just to open our door to get out of the house.

This is a path that we used our snow blower on. As you can see, there is 22 inches of snow from the last two snow storms!

Even I go out to play in the snow! The snow banks behind me are from the plows. That snow bank is about ten feet high!

So, that is what I have been up to….snow, snow, and more snow!  Hopefully, more crafting today! I am on my way to a Valentine Stampin' Up gathering!  Can't wait to make some cute Valentine cards.

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Happy Birthday Papa! Wishing you a wonderful day!

(I know you check my website every day, so I just had to post a birthday card just for you!)

HOW TO MAKE:

This is an A2 base card

I cut a brown strip of paper at 3 inches and then cut a white strip of paper at 2 1/2 inches

Using my "Plantin Schoolbook" cartridge I cut the tags at 2 inches and then cut the letters at one inch

Adhered the tags using brads to the strip of paper

Doodled on each border with my white gel pen and then doodled around each of the tags

Happy Birthday challenge

Happy Birthday to Robyn at www.mypinkstamper.com! This challenge was to create something with a birthday theme. So, here is a pink and brown cupcake invitation.

HOW TO MAKE:

This is a brown (chocolate) A2 base card.

I cut a pink mat and a brown mat.

Using my  "Alphalicious" cartridge I cut the "You're Invited" at 1 1/2 inch wide.

The cupcake was cut at 4 inches using my "Doodlecharms" cartridge.

I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the cupcake frosting

Attached a red button as the cherry

Doodled with my white gel pen around the outside of the card

“Think Spring” card

I made this card as part of a challenge for the "Cooking With Cricut" blog (http://www.cookingwithcricut.blogspot). I had to make a card using a sketch and I had to include at least 3 flowers.

We have had feet of snow here, so it was great making a card with thoughts of warm weather and lots of bright sun. Hopefully, within a few months my yard will look like this card!

HOW TO MAKE:
This is an A2 base card using a pastel green color
I cut a piece of light blue paper and doodled around it with my white gel pen
Cut a small mat with blue paper and white paper at about 3 1/2 inches
I used my "Walk in My Garden" cartridge to create the pot and flowers. They were all cut at one inch.
I also used mini yellow brads as the center of my daisies
I stamped the sentiment and backed it in blue

Just a quick 8 x 8 scrapbook page…

I made this quick page for my little guy's scrapbook. I thought it was so cute! Thought I would share it with you.

HOW TO MAKE:
This is an 8×8 primary red paper
I used the "B is for Boy" cartridge and cut the boy and the Peek-A-Boo at 3 inches

A cute card and Post-It-Note thank you gift

A cute turtle card….

I just got the Paisley cartridge and I love it! It may be my new favorite cartridge.

I also made this cute little Post-It-Note to match the card.

This is what it looks like on the inside.

HOW TO MAKE: (turtle card)
This is an A2 base card in a light green shade of paper purchased at Michaels
Using my new Paisley cartridge, I cut the turtle at 2 1/2 inches
I cut a piece of white paper at 3 inches and used my apron lace border punch on each side
Then, I cut a scrap piece of pink and white polka dotted paper at 2 1/2 inches.
Used pop dots to adhere the turtle onto the card
tied a cute pink and white ribbon around the bottom of the card

HOW TO MAKE: (Post-It-Note holder)
I cut a piece of green paper at 10 inches long and three inches wide
Using the "B is for Boy" cartridge, I cut the Thank you tag at 2 inches and stamped Thank you onto it
I cut 4 pieces of pink and white polka dot paper each 3 by 3 inches
I used a flower stamp I bought at Michaels to embellish the inside panels.
Using a 12 inch piece of ribbon, I put the ribbon into the middle panel, so that the ribbon comes through the back of the center panel

Paint chip card

Who said you can't do anything with those paint chips!

(I got this idea a while ago from Paper Crafts Magazine. I saw this card and thought I could finally put those paint chips to good use!)

HOW TO MAKE:

This is a beige A2 card base.
Cut a piece of white cardstock 1/8 of an inch smaller on all sides to be a little smaller than the card.
Using Martha Stewart Living paint chip cards, I cut rectangles at 1 1/2 by 1 3/4 inches. I cut two rectangles from "Faded Ink", 2 rectangles from "Hydrangea", and two rectangles from "Thistle Blue."
NOTE: you can do this in any color. Just choose a light shade, a medium shade, and a darker shade.
Then, I used a small silver brad to attach my white daisy.
