Two Awards in One Week!
February 25th, 2011
I woke up this morning and saw an email from Monica at Stampin Daisies. She awarded me with the Stylish Blogger Award! Thank you Monica! I was looking forward to getting this one!
Here's how this award works:
1. Create a post that links back to the person that gave it to you
2. List 7 random things about yourself
3. Award this to seven new found bloggers
4. Contact them and let them know they have won the award
Seven things about me:
1. When I am not crafting, the other hobby I enjoy is reading. I have been a lifelong reader. I have no favorite authors. I do enjoy reading something easy and fun.
2. My favorite meal is Pasta. I could live happily on salad and pasta. My favorite snack…well, I have lots and lots of them. I would have to say chocolate is my most favorite.
3. Ok, I will admit… I have been collecting Strawberry Shortcake dolls for years. I love Strawberry Shortcake. She has been a favorite of mine since childhood. I hope to pass my dolls to my daughter some day.
4. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have taught fifth grade for ten years and I love it!
5. I am a warm weather person. I love to be on the beach or by the pool with my kids. I love to watch them riding their bikes and having fun outside.
6. The best days are the days I spend with my family.
7. I met my husband in seventh grade at a summer program. Who knew years later we would be married with a family?
Seven bloggers I would like to award this to:
1. Nicole @ Scramp-It
2. Julie @ A Little Bit of Bling
3. Patti @ Patti-Lynn Creations
4. Linda @ Linda's Creativity
5. Lisa @ Crop and Create

I woke up this morning to an email from Julie at
http://jk-littlebitofbling.blogspot.com/. She awarded me my very first Liebster Blog Award!
Thank you Julie for awarding me this award! I was thrilled to say the least!
As a new blogger, I am learning as I go. I have met some wonderful and talented ladies along the way that have been an inspiration to me. Every day, I wake up to my Inbox containing such wonderful comments. They are always so sweet and encouraging! So, thank you so much!
So here are the rules of The Liebster Blog Award:
It is an award that is given to give light to new blogs and it's a great way to share blogs that may have otherwise not be seen-or ones you want to share with others.
As a recipient you must share the love and pay it forward by:
1-Creating a post where you blog about the Liebster award & reveal your 3-5 blog picks
2-Let them know you chose them by leaving a comment on their blog
3-Copy & paste the blog award on your blog
4-Have faith that your followers will rally & show their crafty love back out to those
you awarded
5-Have fun!
Here are my blog picks:
1. Nicole from Scramp' It
2. Linda from Linda's Creativity
3. Lisa from Crop-And-Create
4. Raechel from Raechel's Cards
Thank you for following Jen's Craft Corner! Hope this award makes your day, as it did mine!
So, pay-it-forward and send this to 3-5 people. Thank you everyone!

Busy Bee Spring Page
February 22nd, 2011
I made this for http://scramp-it.blogspot.com/. We decided on a Spring theme and thought we would post on each other's site over the last couple of weeks. Today is my turn! Come on over and visit!
How To Make:
The 12×12 paper is from a K and Company paper pack
The bees were cut at 4 inches using my Paisley cartridge. I used pop dots to pop them off the page
The pink flowers were cut at one inch also using my Paisley cartridge
I cut the photo mats using my Gypsy
The doodles were done with my white gel pen
Spring: cut using my Gypsy Wanderings cartridge
blue flower: sticker I had left over from a while ago
I’m a guest designer today!
February 21st, 2011
Come check out my project at http://www.lindascreativity.blogspot.com/. I am her first guest designer! Her challenge was to make something that included embossing. So, I made this monkey card. The monkey's hat is embossed, as well as the trunk of the tree.
RECIPE:
This is an A2 card with a brown base
I cut a mat in a light blue
Palm Tree: cut at 4 1/2 using my Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. The leaves were cut twice to give it some depth. I have pop dots between each layer. The trunk was embossed using my Cuttlebug, to make it look like palm tree bark
Monkey: cut at 4 1/2 using B is for Boy cartridge. Doodled on his belly with my red gel pen. I embossed his hat with my Cuttlebug. Used dimensionals to pop him off the card. Doodled around his belly with red gel pen
I cut a brown piece of paper rounded at the top for the sand on the island and put some Stickles on it to give it some depth
Think Spring: Cut at 1/2 inch using my Pooh Font cartridge
I doodled with my white gel pen around the outside edges of the card

“Sweet”
February 17th, 2011
I sat down to scrap this page for my daughter's book and I love how it came out. It just is so sweet! It is one of my favorite pages to date! I thought I would share it with you.
HOW TO MAKE:
12 x 12 page: paper is from a paper pack from "Me and My Big Ideas"
border: Bought it at Joanne's. It is from K and Company. Came with many cute baby girl borders
I added a pink border trimmed with my Apron lace border punch
Used my white doodle pen to doodle around all the borders
SWEET: Came from the "New Arrival" cartridge. Cut at 4 by 2 inches on my Gypsy
