Birthday Sundaes Challenge-Make a Masculine Card

Hello Everyone! Happy Sunday to you all! I hope you are all enjoying your Memorial Day weekend. This week at Birthday Sundaes, the challenge is to create a masculine card. This is always a challenge for me, but I do like how my card came out.

I went with the nautical theme. The anchor was made using an SVG file and my Sure-Cuts-A-Lot (SCAL) program.

Looking forward to seeing your masculine birthday cards! Don't forget to include the sentiment on the front of the card. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Scrapbooking Yard Sale! Wait to you see what I got!

Hi! Hope you are all having a good week. I had to share all the great stuff I got this weekend. A scrapbooking store near me has a yearly yard sale where people can rent a table or two and sell their crafty stuff. Well, I had never been, so this year, I made it part of my calendar. So, early Saturday morning, I got up, threw some clothes on, put my hair up in a pony tail, grabbed a hot tea, and was on my way! I drove there with a smile on my face, arrived with my reusable shopping bag in hand, and was ready to shop. It took me two hours to peruse every table and I loved every single moment of it. I couldn't believe all the stuff people were selling.

I got home and organized it all in my hallway and took pictures to show you.

Here's what I got. It took 3 pictures to get it all!

I hope you enjoyed seeing all the stuff I got over the weekend. I am already looking forward to next year's yard sale! Now, I have to figure out where to put all this stuff. I'm thinking I may need more storage drawers and containers. Off to the store I go!

A Graduation Card

I made a graduation card for a friend of my family. We have watched him grow up and are so very proud of him. He is the first in his family to go to college, so this certainly is a great achievement and something to be celebrated. I made the card in his school colors, which are navy blue and gold.

This card was a new and exciting experience for me. For the very first time, this whole card was done using Sure-Cuts-A-Lot. I downloaded the scalloped square and the graduation cap, both as SVG files. I was able to then create the mats also using SCAL. It was easy peasy! I cut everything all at once on one mat! It was great! So, now I am looking for good paper piecing sites or SVG sites. If you know of any, please let me know! So far, I have found "Treasure Box Designs," which has the cutest files!

So here is the card I made:

I also made the inside nice too..

And then stamped with my personal stamp…

Birthday Sundaes Challenge-Pearls and Lace Birthday Card

This week, the challenge is to create a birthday card using Pearls & Lace. Don't forget to include a birthday sentiment on the front of your card.

I don't have a birthday card to show you this week. After participating in a few blog hops, making cards for Operation Write Home, and making the cards for this great design team, I decided to take a week off. My craft room was beyond messy! I couldn't even focus in there anymore, so I took the week to get it cleaned up, organized, and back in shape.

I did get a card done this week, I made a great cupcake recipe, and went to a yard sale and got lots of scrapbooking stuff. So, I will be posting all that soon! Have a great week!

More Cards For Soldiers

Anne, over at http://paperpatchcrafts1.blogspot.com is doing a card campaign.  Only instead of cards for the soldiers to send home, she would like to send cards to say thank you and that we appreciate what they are doing over there. If you could please send me a card either hand made or store bought, she would so appreciate it. If you are interested, please email Anne at paperpatchcrafts@yahoo.com

Just wanted to show you some of the cards I made for her to send overseas. I was happy to do this for her and I know the soldiers will enjoy receiving these cards. I wrote a nice message in each card, just to let our heroes know how much they are appreciated.
