Butterfly Blog Award
August 28th, 2011
I received this blog award from Jean at http://jeanscraftycorner.blogspot.com, as well as Laurie at Scrapsbysissy.blogspot.com. If you haven't yet visited these two crafty ladies, you have to visit them soon and see all the great things they have created.
As part of this award, I have to answer the following 12 questions and pass this on to 6 people. Here are the answers to my questions:
Name your favorite color? I love pink!
Name your favorite song? Hmmm….there's a lot to pick from…I can't name just one!
Name your favoirte dessert? Anything with chocolate : )
What wizzes you off at the moment? As in makes me mad, well, I'm not mad at anything!
Your favorite pet? I don't have any pets. We have a fish named Nemo
Black or white? White
Your biggest fear? I am terrified of snakes
Best feature? Don't know about that one…
Everyday attitude? I am always happy and try to stay positive
What is perfection? My family being happy and healthy
Guilty pleasure? Scrapbooking supplies, of course!
When you're upset? I don't like that feeling at all, so I try to think good thoughts

Just A Note…
August 16th, 2011
I made these cards for Operation Write Home. They were simple to make and I had fun using my new corner punch. These are simple, yet nice to use as just "A Little Note" for the soldiers to send to their friends or family.
Here are the four I made. Plan to make some more over the next few days.
Here is a close-up of just one of the cards.
S’MORE SUMMER FUN
August 15th, 2011
Well, it's summer and I haven't had one s'more yet. However, after doing this page, I will be making some with my family this weekend! I saw this challenge on Cooking With Cricut, so I just had to make this page with this cute little s'more.

Back to Scrappin’
August 7th, 2011
I am trying to keep up with my kid's books and I had to find a way to get a page done in little time. So, I went on a hunt for a simple sketch. I thought it was such a cute sketch for what I wanted to do, so I printed a copy of the sketch and went to work!
I found this sketch at: http://danniesdesigns.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/10/love-owl-ways.html
I really liked using a sketch and plan to use many more. I always spend so much time trying to figure out what the page is going to look like. Now, using sketches, it takes hardly any time at all!
If you know of any scrapbook page sketch sites, please let me know in a comment below!
Here's the page with just the base completed. I love it because it is just so simple and clean cut.
Then, I added the picture and the embellishments. Done!
RECIPE:
Base: Brown 12×12 paper
Pink dotted paper is from "me & my BIG ideas" Baby Girl cardstock pack
large vertical strip: cut at three inches also from "me & my BIG ideas" Baby Girl cardstock pack
Scalloped edge and ADORE embellishment: is from http://svgcuts.com
ONE: I used the "Pooh Font" cartridge cut at two inches. Cut twice to make it look like punchboard letters. Embossed with Cuttlebug
Flower: Cut at two inches with "Walk in My Garden" cartridge embossed with Cuttlebug
