Halloween card I have been wanting to make…

I love getting Paper Crafts Magazine. Every time I see it in the mailbox, I run in the house and sit down to look through all the wonderful cards people have made. All the great card ideas inspires me to just want to lock myself in my craft room for hours and make all of them! So, this is one that I loved and have wanted to try to make. This issue is from last year, but still just as fun!

This is actually super easy to make. I used my Creative Memories circle punch and cut six circles of each color. I have thirteen colors in all.

I started to adhere down the circles from the top down, being careful to have the circles lined up just right.

Then, I turned it over and carefully cut the edges off to the edge of the card.

When I turned it over, It looked like this…

Once I got down to the bottom, I decided to add some green circles to look like grass. Then, using an SVG file I had on hand, I cut that at three inches and used yellow foam paper from my stash as it's background. I didn't have to use pop dots on this project because it was already thick enough to pop off the page. Done!

My First Featured Project

Today I got an email from Patches of Pink saying my Autumn scrap book page was chosen as this week's #1 featured project! Hooray! I am so excited!

I have never had a project featured on a blog, so I was super excited to see this page chosen for the week! I worked longer than usual to bring this page to life. I had it pictured in my head and had to get it to look exactly how I envisioned it. The effort has well paid off! It was worth every minute I spent on it! It is one of my most favorite pages I have ever made!

Welcome to the Teddy Bear Blog Hop!

Happy National Teddy Bear Day! As we all know, the teddy bear came about in 1902 after a unsuccessful bear hunting trip Teddy Roosevelt went on. He couldn't shoot a bear. The incident was illustrated in a newspaper cartoon entitled "Drawing the Line" – which also referred to the political situation at the time. A New York toymaker saw an opportunity and brought out a cute stuffed bear named "Teddy's Bear". The rest, as the say, is history. (Taken from http://www.festivology.com/topics/teddy.html)

I know as a child I had a favorite teddy bear. He was purple with black eyes and a black nose. I just loved him and I had him for years. He was well loved and went everywhere with me. I am now an adult and he is in a bin with me in my basement. I just couldn't leave my childhood room without him. So, in honor of our childhood bears, I thought it would be great to share projects with teddy bears.
