A Giveaway! Happy One Year (Blog)aversary To Me!

Wow! It's hard to believe it's been one year! My very first post was posted on November 14th. So, in honor of one year, I have decided to have a giveaway!

It has been such a great year. I was recently looking through my archives and I look back on some of my first projects and can't believe how much I have grown as a crafter in 12 months. Part of that, is because of you! I have never met you, but I certainly have got to know some of you through your comments and emails. I thank you so much for such a great year. You have left such sweet comments and have sent me such wonderful thoughtful emails.

So, here's what I have for you:
1 six inch Cricut mat
2 packs of stickers
2 bottles of glitter glue
4 stamps
1 ribbon

(Plus I may be adding more over the next couple of weeks)

I will be picking a winner of November 17th. How do you win?

1. Leave me a comment on this post
2. If you are not already, become a follower. For those of you that follow me already…THANK YOU!
3. For a second chance to win, post this giveaway on your blog and come back and let me know that you did so.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A GREAT YEAR!

Harvest Blessings

Here is a card I made with the time of Harvest in mind. Here, in New England, the weather has gone from very warm to very cold in just a couple of weeks. We had our first snow just last night! I don't ever remember having snow before Halloween, so it was quite a surprise to wake up to snow this morning!

Anyways, with all the beautiful pumpkins, leaves, and foliage, I have had the theme of Harvest on the mind. It was nice to break out my Fall paper and get to work!

I bought this "Blessings" stamp last week and couldn't wait to use it on a Fall card. I also bought some Colorbox ink and I love it. The color is so vibrant.

HAPPY HARVEST TO YOU!

Trick or Treat!

Happy Friday to all my crafty friends! Today, I made this cute little treat bag. I love this little ghost!

This is an SVG file from http://myscrapchick.com. Every Friday, there is a freebie pattern sent to you by email. Be sure to subscribe to this because the patterns are just adorable. This week's freebie is this cute little ghost. I happen to be home today, so I thought I would give this little ghost a try. I am so glad I did!

Here is a side view, so you can see where the treats can go. So cute and easy to make!

RECIPE:
I downloaded this from an email from myscrapchick.com and cut it out using my Cricut
I inked the edges and stamped the "Trick or Treat" onto it. I colored the stamp in with my orange Sakura gel pen
I faux stitched around the edges with my black Sakura gel pen
Tied an orange ribbon around him (bought at Michaels for a dollar)
adhered the ghost together and done!

Tree note card

I was running errands the other day and decided to stop at Joanne's Fabric to see what they had. For me, this is never a good idea. When I "stop in" at any craft store, I tend to come home with all kinds of stuff. Really, it's not a good thing at all! But, on this particular day, I only got one thing, this cute little tree stamp. The good thing about it is…it only cost me forty cents! Yay! I had a coupon and saw this stamp and thought I would see what I could make with it.

So, here it is….

I used earth tones to create this cute little card. Here's the recipe:

This card is cut out at 8 inches by four inches and scored at four inches to make the card four inches by four inches

I cut the beige paper at 3.75 inches by 3.75 inches and inked around the edges with brown ink. Then, I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the paper in swirls.

I cut the green paper at 3 inches by three inches and used my Martha Stewart "punch around the page" punch.

Lastly, I used brown ink to stamp the tree stamp, cut around it, and adhered it onto the paper.

I used pop dots under the fancy edge green paper to give it some dimension.

3 Girl JAM winner!

It's Sunday, which means it's time to pick a winner from the 3 Girl JAM blog hop! I used random generator to choose a winner. The winner of this hop is…..

#9 Angie, Crazy "Scrap" Lady! Congratulations Angie! I will be in touch with you!

If you are just stopping in, you may want to start at the beginning of the hop at http://memoriesintyme.blogspot.com to see all the great projects we have for you today.

For this fun hop, I made a cute little witch card. I love the witch and the pot on the "Paper Doll Dress Up" cartridge and had to use them on something this Halloween. So here it is….a cute little Halloween card. The bats are an SVG file I got online.

Here is the inside of the card. I used a stamp for the sentiment. I got it at Michaels in the $1.00 bin. I put the sentiment more toward the top of the card to allow room to write on the card.

Today, I created a "Hello Kitty" card. I have been seeing this cute cat on some blogs lately, so I had to give it a try. It was super easy to make. This card was made from a SVG file that I found online. Once I downloaded the file, I used Sure-Cuts-Alot (SCAL) and cut it on my Cricut and put it together. It was that easy!
