I had some time this weekend in my craft room, so I made this cute little card. I wanted to make something Spring-y and bright. I hadn't used my Peachy Keen stamps in a while, so I dug those out of my stamp drawer and this is what came of it:
RECIPE:
SIZE: Basic A2 card folded at the top. Rounded corner punch on the top corners
Flower borders- used a EK border punch. The paper-simple scraps from my scrap drawer
The sun-SVG file cut at 2.2 inches. I used a Peachy Keen face stamp on it and doodled in black gel pen. Used a pop dot underneath
The Clouds-are cut at one inch and two inches- I used my Souffle pens to doodle around them and my Cuttlebug to emboss them.
JUST SAYING HELLO-I heat embossed this with black embossing powder.
There are lots of great challenges this week, so I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you are all having a wonderful day! Is everyone wearing red today? I made a couple of cards for today.

This one (above), I made with Stampin' Up paper, LOVE stamp, and ribbon. I just love the simplicity of this card.
The other day, I was in my craft area and had an hour to spare, so I sat down with some paper and this is what came of it (the card below). Sometimes, I love sitting down with no plan. The frame with the indented corners is an SVG file. I just got the file over the weekend and had fun layering it and using all pink! The hears are from the "Doodlecharm" cartridge.

Wishing you a wonderful Valentine's Day!

This is a 2 day hop so be sure to come back tomorrow for some more inspiration!
If you came from Teresa at http://scrappintplace.blogspot.com then you are in the right place! If you just happened across my blog and are interested in the entire hop and Emily's story, start back at Michelle's blog at Scrappin' For Kenzie!
Emily is a sweet little 6 year old girl that has battled Leukemia since before Chrstmas 2011. She has had to endure more pain in a few short months than most adults in their entire life. She has gone from Leukemia to Rotavirus, to pancreatitis, to kidney stones, then to shingles, not to mention over 300 pokes in her tiny little body! From chemo to blood draws to feeding tube. Her bone marrow is finally at 0.00% so she is now in remission and back at home! She is still going through 7 different chemotherapy treatments but is finally doing better! To read her full story and updates please visit the original Cards for Emily info post HERE
For this hop all we ask is that you hop through the list, then when you are done, link up your card for Emily at Scrappin' for Kenzie. The link up tool is in the left hand side bar under "Cards for Emily". You will see her picture right above it.
REMEMBER: There is no requirement to leave comments or even hop through all of the blogs if you don't have time. There will be no personal candy at any of the stops along the way. That way you can get maximum inspiration to make your own card and have enough time to link it up and send it away!
There WILL be however a giveaway to one lucky winner that links up their card by February 29th 2012. You can link up as many cards/projects that you would like. The more you link up and send the more greater your chance is of winning a…..

I can't believe Valentine's Day is just upon us. This year is going by so quickly. In the past, I have never enjoyed Valentine's Day. Now, with my own family and children to share it with, I now just love it! In my house, the Valentine's angel comes and leaves everyone a very special treat. This year, I think the angel will be leaving us some special chocolates from a quaint little chocolate house in a very special Valentine's bag.
Needless to say, this weekend, besides the birthday party we will be attending, laundry, cooking, cleaning the house, I will be very busy getting ready for a school Valentine's party, which I have to bake 25 cupcakes for, I have to make 25 goodie bags for my son's preschool, and I have to prepare for the angel to come to our house. Busy, Busy, Busy!
So, I thought I should try to get a Valentine's post up before I begin the Valentine's preparations. This card required no Cricut. Sometimes, you just have to love using the good ol' fashioned paper punch, some ink, stamps, one pink brad, a small heart sticker, and an embossing folder.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a Valentine's day filled with love, friends and family!

I was reading the blogger dashboard and I saw a few fellow bloggers with a post about a precious little boy named Sebastian. So, I linked to Ginger's House and read the story about this little boy who, in my eyes, is a hero. Sebastian was born with something called Arthrogryposis. This means he has stiff joints and abnormally developed muscles.
Ms. Brown, his teacher, wrote the most loving, yet touching story about Sebastian and all the life's lessons she has learned form him. She is asking for cards to fill his room. "On February 15th, Sebastian will go into the hospital for another surgery. I would love to have his room filled with cards wishing him well and cheering him on."
To read Sebastian's story and for the mailing info:
PLEASE HOP ON OVER TO:
Ms. Brown did a wonderful job of writing his story and I was truly touched. If you can, please join us in making a card for Sebastian.
Here is the card I made for Sebastian.
